Road trip 2022
Sean and Meeka Caissie began renovating homes together in 2007. Their first project was a townhouse they purchased in Coquitlam. They gutted it, including the pink tub & toilet and turquoise stove, took out a wall, refinished the floors, replaced the windows and more! They transformed it into their dream home where they hosted many dinner parties which lead to others wanting us to do their renovations and that is how Caissie Construction was born.
Sean grew up on a small farm in the mountains of Clearwater, BC, hard work and responsibility were instilled from an early age. Sean studied at Simon Fraser and completed a bachelor's degree in Economics, he also spent a year in Japan as an English teacher. Shortly after returning to Vancouver he entered the finance and banking industry. But he soon discovered the two loves of his life, his wife Meeka and building!
Sean has mastered his craft over the past 17 years with help from great mentors along the way. Recognizing the importance of continual education and never ending improvement, Sean and their team stay up to date with the latest industry training and building science advancements. They are also proud members of the Homebuilders Association of Vancouver (HAVAN) and the Canadian Home Builders' Association BC (CHBABC)
Sean takes great pride in all their projects, overseeing them from start to finish and building lasting client relationships long after the project is complete.
Meeka grew up in downtown Toronto and is no stranger to renovating,
her father is a master carpenter and has been crafting, building and running crews on world class projects for more than 4 decades. Although Meeka has done everything from design, to shingling a roof and tiling a fireplace, she is happiest supporting her husband behind the scenes building social media and marketing locally while running her own organization: Ladies In Power.
Sean and Meeka have been happily married for 18 years and live in White Rock, BC with their adorable Mexican street cat named, Mei Mei. They enjoy golf, road trips and great food with friends.
